A Creative Space.

If you can appreciate art and you fancy seeing something a little bit different then have a look at the work by Alan Bean in his ‘Painting Apollo: First Artist on Another World’ exhibition.
As he is one of the few men to have actually walked on the moon (unless, of course you don’t believe that anyone ever has), his work is totally unique. His views of the Earth and his fellow astronauts make truly breathtaking paintings.
His pictures have an impressionist style about them whilst still managing to be very realistic. I am especially fond of his portrait of Buzz Aldrin and the way the he has managed to superimpose footprints across it.
Perhaps we should try sending a few more so-called artists into space. I am thinking of the ones that do not actually have the ability to create anything representational.
Besides, we don’t have to bring them back again.
