This was an amusing little post to come across. Having your three mile run turned into a seven mile one is a bit of a downer. I have had similar experiences with Google maps.
That is the trouble with technology I’m afraid. You always hear quirky little stories like this when people rely on computers for information. Personally, I do not even trust sat-navs. A friend of mine recently offered to lend me his one when I told him that I was planning a long car journey.
Sometimes it is far safer to stick to using the tatty old road map.
