A Return To 'The Crusades'?

We are in the midst of a very turbulent time. Not only are there fears of how good our security is at airports but there is also the highly volatile situation of Muslim relations to think about.

Only a fool would think that all Muslims are terrorists. There are only a small amount of extremists who are causing this terrible situation around us all. Unfortunately, there are many fools in the world… There have already been quite a few unprovoked attacks on Muslim citizens because a small amount of people think that they must be ‘mad bombers’.

The latest stage in this awful situation is the possible targeting of Muslims for more thorough searches at airports. In one way this is understandable; up to now it has only been Muslims that have been responsible for terror attacks. But in another way it is a very dangerous path to go down. It could almost be labelled as, ‘Legalised Racism’. Just because someone’s skin is a different colour or their religious beliefs differ from our own does not mean that they are carrying a bomb.

It has been emphasised right from the beginning that the ‘War on Terror’ is not a ‘War on Islam’ but words and deeds are two very different things. If I was a practising Muslim then i think that I would being feeling a little bit victimised right now. When you step back and look at what is going on and hear the attitudes of many British people it is all getting a little bit scary. What right do we have to single out a certain religious group and place them under a greater level of scrutiny?

There is a very real chance of segregation coming into play here and all the necessary things to make this happen are moving into place. If you think back to all the terrible atrocities that have been done by Christians over the years, it all seems a little bit unfair. Mind you, people the world over have always committed atrocities ‘in the name of God’.

Someone needs to take stock of this situation very soon because we are treading on very thin ice…

Chalet val thorens booking sorted out you guys, I am looking forward to our annual trip. I need part of the payment by this Friday.
